Nerve Gaming is the first community-based adaptive eSports program in Georgia and offers a new way for gamers with paralysis to experience the benefits that video games have on many aspects of rehabilitation. Video games provide a stepping stone to move forward in their overall confidence, therapy goals, and overall rehabilitation while participating in recreation and leisure activities they love. People with disabilities also use online gaming to engage in meaningful relationships with people outside their home and to retain a sense of normalcy. Participation decreases social isolation and improves quality of life.
